Description
Threading is a great activity to help children develop fine motor skills essential for being able to draw, write, do up buttons, tie shoelaces, open lunch boxes and more. Threading also helps to develop eye-hand coordination and concentration skills. Children learn language skills as they name colours.
Improve fine motor skills: Threading beads can help to strengthen the small muscles in children’s hands as they grasp different sized beads. They will use various hand movements, depending on the size of the bead.
Lacing activities help children develop fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, motor planning and visual perceptual skills. In addition, lacing helps children practice the precursor skills for shoe tying and sewing.
